A few months ago, we asked for your feedback on some new draft rules for the small claims disputes we’ll start accepting on June 1, 2017. You also gave us feedback on our rules generally, and we collected overall feedback from our staff, tribunal members, and participants about areas where our rules could be improved. After carefully considering and implementing this feedback, we are happy to present our new and improved CRT rules, which will take effect June 1, 2017.
Here’s a complete copy of the new rules. We’ve also prepared a table of changes so that you can see what’s new in this version, and the reason for making each change. When they become effective on June 1, 2017 the new rules will also be visible in the Rules section of the website.
