The CRT has jurisdiction over most strata claims in BC, of any amount.

  • We can’t take claims about harassment, bullying or slander.
  • We can’t take strata claims about land, like ordering the sale of a strata lot or deciding each owner’s percent share in the strata.
  • Strata corporations must have a contact person for a CRT claim. The contact person must be an authorized member of the strata council or section executive. This is in the CRT Rules. Learn more about having a contact person.
