2017: Try the Solution Explorer for Small Claims

The Solution Explorer is taking another big step forward. It’s now available to beta test for small claims problems. We’re calling it ‘beta’ because it’s still in development. With your help, we’ll continue to test and improve the small claims Solution Explorer for just a little while longer.

We want the Solution Explorer to work for you. That means we need your help to test it and tell us if it’s right. Please complete the short survey you’ll find at the end of your exploration. Please also share this post with your friends and family, or on social media.

What is the Solution Explorer?

The Solution Explorer is a tool for helping people manage and resolve disputes in British Columbia. The Solution Explorer uses real expert knowledge to give you legal information and resources to help you manage or resolve your dispute. Here’s a short video on how the Solution Explorer works:

What Should You Know Before You Begin?

The small claims Solution Explorer beta won’t let you make a claim with the CRT. This is because the CRT isn’t open for small claims disputes yet. After the testing ends we will take the Solution Explorer beta offline to add some new legal information and tools, before the CRT begins accepting small claims disputes.

Limitation Periods

Please review this information about Limitation Periods before you start. It’s about how long you have to take action on your problem. It’s very important. If you think your limitation period might run out soon, refer to the Limitation Periods resource for more information about what you can do.

Ready to Start?

Starting today, the Solution Explorer beta for small claims will be available for testing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can even test it on your mobile device.

We’ve built the Solution Explorer for a number of different dispute “types”. Our experts have told us that these are the most common types of small claims problems that British Columbians have. Let us know what you think!
