Participant Survey – September 2026

The Civil Resolution Tribunal anonymously surveys people who have gone through the tribunal process. We use this feedback to improve the way we serve the public. We report the results every month on this blog.

We had 44 responses to our participant survey in September 2026. We’re pleased to report that participant satisfaction remains strong in most areas. We’re taking measures to address a high volume of claims and improve timeliness in all areas of the dispute resolution process.

Selected comments on what participants liked about their experience with the CRT:

  • The website is great and has so much useful information about every step of the process.
  • It was easy to navigate the process without a legal representative.
  • Ability to see past case outcomes is very helpful.
  • Communication was always respectful and clear.
  • It felt like a very “human” process.

Selected comments on what the CRT could have done to improve their experience:

  • Reduce the backlog so claims can go through faster.
  • Get a notification when the negotiation phase is about to end so case could be closed if resolved.
  • The user should be prompted…to print their evidence log and review to ensure all the evidence submitted is in the portal.
