Participant Survey – July 2026

The Civil Resolution Tribunal anonymously surveys people who have gone through the tribunal process. We use this feedback to improve the way we serve the public. We report the results every month on this blog.

We had 36 responses to our participant survey in July 2026. We’re pleased to report that participant satisfaction remains strong in most areas. We’re taking measures to address a high volume of claims and improve timeliness in all areas of the dispute resolution process.

Selected comments on what participants liked about their experience with the CRT:

  • When contacting the CRT, all communications were courteous and very professional.
  • Easy to understand and submit evidence.
  • [Staff] were really good: accessible, willing to spend time explaining things, and supportive.
  • Fairness.
  • The CRT case manager was very competent on all aspects of negotiating.
  • It’s an excellent system for people to get justice.

Selected comments on what the CRT could have done to improve their experience:

  • Have more staff…the process takes too long.
  • Be more clear on the length of submissions…how many characters you are allowed.
  • Take less time between steps and the decision.
  • The [slow] pace places an undue burden on a strata to defend especially given that strata council’s composition may change annually.
