Participant Survey – February 2025

The Civil Resolution Tribunal anonymously surveys people who have gone through the tribunal process. We use this feedback to improve the way we serve the public. We report the results every month on this blog.

We had 41 responses to our participant survey in February 2025. We’re pleased to report that participant satisfaction remains strong in all areas except timely resolution. We’re taking measures to address a high volume of claims and improve timeliness in all areas of the dispute resolution process.

Selected comments on what participants liked about their experience with the CRT:

  • That is was easily accessible anywhere at any time due to it being online.
  • Felt like we had a place with a neutral party to hear our dispute.
  • The agent who handled the case was very clear and professional.
  • The process was easy to follow and very helpful for people who don’t have adequate knowledge of law.
  • The CRT MID [minor injury determination] process has been reasonably fair so far and sympathetic to victims with life changing injuries.

Selected comments on what the CRT could have done to improve their experience:

  • Faster response times.
  • Increased staffing or additional resources need to be allocated to moving these files through.
  • [The emails] were super technical and difficult to understand. Adding a summary in more basic language would be great.
