The CRT received 510 new disputes last month, higher than the average of 488 cases/month since April. However, we closed 623 disputes last month, so had 2,476 outstanding at month-end, compared with 2,586 at the end of July.
Roughly 260 disputes were closed by default decision, 121 were decided by a tribunal member, 90 withdrawn, and 93 were resolved by agreement or consent order. Note that, although it appears that the number of Notices of Objection increased by 52 during the month, that was because a number of disputes were mis-classified and did not indicate a Notice of Objection had been filed.
