The Civil Resolution Tribunal anonymously surveys people who have gone through the tribunal process. We use this feedback to improve the way we serve the public. We report the results every month on this blog.
We had 51 responses to our participant survey in October 2026. We’re pleased to report that participant satisfaction remains strong in most areas. We’re taking measures to address a high volume of claims and improve timeliness in all areas of the dispute resolution process.
Selected comments on what participants liked about their experience with the CRT:
- Easy to access help when needed.
- The process was accessible and could be handled online without having to go through a traditional court process.
- Anyone that I communicated with were very helpful without choosing sides.
- All in all a very positive experience without engaging a lawyer.
- The process itself is lengthy but once the case was picked it went smooth.
Selected comments on what the CRT could have done to improve their experience:
- While I understand budget restraints, the process is slow.
- Clearer communication. Reference the names of the parties in email correspondence not just a CRT file #.
- More updates during long wait times.
