Participant Survey – August 2025

The Civil Resolution Tribunal anonymously surveys people who have gone through the tribunal process. We use this feedback to improve the way we serve the public. We report the results every month on this blog.

We had 50 responses to our participant survey in August 2025. We’re pleased to report that participant satisfaction remains strong in all areas except timely resolution. We’re taking measures to address a high volume of claims and improve timeliness in all areas of the dispute resolution process.

Selected comments on what participants liked about their experience with the CRT:

  • Easy to access. Simple to use. A great tool for those in need.
  • I liked the clarity of the information provided and easy access to a real person.
  • The chance to settle a dispute without going to court.
  • Very easy versatile for people from other parts of world new to Canada.
  • Very professional staff who were willing and able to answer all of my questions, and who were very courteous throughout the process.

Selected comments on what the CRT could have done to improve their experience:

  • A more timely manner would have been beneficial.
  • Work with one agent rather than four or five.
  • Communicate to the applicants about the reasonable timelines.
  • It would have been great to have less of a delay between filing our response and case management but we understand the CRT is very busy.
