New CRT Tribunal Members Appointed

After a rigorous, merit-based competition, 2 new full-time members and 27 part-time members have been appointed to the Civil Resolution Tribunal (CRT). These new tribunal members hail from all over British Columbia and represent the rich diversity among the people the CRT serves. In particular, almost 60% of the new CRT tribunal members are women.

CRT members come from a range of professional backgrounds, but have in common extensive legal expertise in one or more areas under the CRT’s jurisdiction, as well as a strong commitment to excellence in administrative decision-making, procedural fairness, and increasing access to justice. These appointments are an important step in increasing the CRT’s capacity to issue timely, enforceable decisions on strata property and small claims disputes. We look forward to welcoming the new CRT members to the team.
