Participant Survey – July 2024

The Civil Resolution Tribunal anonymously surveys people who have gone through the tribunal process. We use this feedback to improve the way we serve the public. We report the results every month on this blog.

We had 47 responses to our participant survey in July 2024. We’re pleased to report that participant satisfaction remains strong in all areas except timely resolution.

We’ve taken measures to address a staff shortage and improve timeliness in all areas of the dispute resolution process. See our blog post The CRT Welcomes New Staff and Tribunal Members.

Selected comments on what participants liked about their experience with the CRT:

  • The fact that the CRT exists to handle very small claims.
  • Friendly and very clear and professional help. A very clear process.
  • The CRT process allowed a common ground to discuss calmly the situation.
  • The fact that the whole process was performed online was a positive point.

Selected comments on what the CRT could have done to improve their experience:

  • The only thing I can think of is to have the original claim processed a bit faster.
  • A little more clarity on next steps after each part of the process would have been nice.
  • It was unclear and difficult for me to download my evidence.
