Participant Survey – March 2024

The Civil Resolution Tribunal anonymously surveys people who have gone through the tribunal process. We use this feedback to improve the way we serve the public. We report the results every month on this blog.

We had 47 responses to our participant survey in March 2024. We’re pleased to report that participant satisfaction remains strong in all areas except timely resolution. We’re taking measures to address a staff shortage and improve timeliness in all areas of the dispute resolution process.

Selected comments on what participants liked about their experience with the CRT:

  • The process was easy to understand. The staff at CRT were professional and helpful.
  • There was no need to commute or go anywhere.
  • Quick response to requests and questions.
  • The fact that there was a process that an independent person could [initiate] without a lawyer.
  • They helped come to a resolution without much effort on our end.

Selected comments on what the CRT could have done to improve their experience:

  • Improve wait times.
  • Lay out the process step by step so that we know what to expect and timeframes.
  • Simplify the language.
  • Some of the questions [in the original application form] could have been clearer.
