Participant Satisfaction Survey – December 2023

The Civil Resolution Tribunal anonymously surveys people who have gone through the tribunal process. We use this feedback to improve the way we serve the public. We report the results every month on this blog.

We had 30 responses to our participant satisfaction survey in December 2023. We’re pleased to report that participant satisfaction remains strong.


Selected comments on what participants liked about their experience with the CRT:

  • There was lots of information to assist me in my first CRT claim.
  • It is efficient, well designed, and easy to use. An individual with no court experience can turn to the CRT for assistance even when he is facing a large corporation as I was.
  • Gave me the opportunity to explain my side of the dispute.
  • Much more convenient than having to go in person. 
  • Great timely communication by staff after submission of the application.

Selected comments on what the CRT could have done to improve their experience:

  • It could have been handled more quickly, but I was notified that the CRT was short staffed so to expect the process to take longer than normal.
  • It would have been helpful to receive more directions on how the process would be handled.
  • More help is needed [to] start off the negotiation process.
